The year the committee of the Garda Tony Golden Memorial Cycle would like you to assist us in completing this years challenge.  Following on from the success of the last 3 years virtual challenges lasts, this year we are trying to cycle cycle 100k for every child that has been made an honary garda with little blue heroes. - A total of 36,800 Kilometres starting on Monday the 11th of September and continuing for 6 days until Saturday the 16th of September.  The week of cycling will culminate with with a 100 kilometre cycle on the 16th to finish the week.

WHATS DIFFERENT ABOUT THIS EVENT?

You can cycle as much as you want, when you want, where you want and how you want for 1 of all 6 of the days of this challenge.  What you contribute will be added to the total kilometres of all participants of this challenge and help towards reaching the target distance.  This challenge will allow you to cycle alone or as part of a team of 5 cyclists.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The cost to partake in this challenge is 30 Euro plus a booking fee.  The registration fee will go towards our nominated charity.  Included in this fee is the cost of running the challenge and postage of the prizes to the participants.

WHAT WILL I GET?

As well as directly supporting THE LITTLE BLUE HEROES and Remembering Garda Tony Golden, all participants that log mileage on the challenge will receive

• a unique contributors medal
• a digital certificate
• entry into the daily prize draw
• entry into the top male, top female and/or top team sections
• entry into our photo competition for the chance of winning other great prizes
• EARLY BIRD REGISTRATIONS WILL ALSO BE ENTERED INTO A DRAW FOR

TEAM EVENT

If you would like to take part in the team event, it does not cost you any more to do so.  Teams will consists of up to 5 cyclists.  The team do not have to cycle together or on the same days.  Once you log you mileage, it will be added to your team total and will appear later that day on the facts and figures page of the website.

PUBLIC TEAMS - No more than 5 Members and all team members must be registered onto the event

GARDA TEAMS - Members must serving or retired members of An Garda Síochána or current members of the Garda Reserve or current Garda Staff members and all team members must be registered onto the event

One member of the team should be nominated as team captain and this Captain is asked to contact us with the names of the 5 team members.  Teams can not be amended after the event starts on the 11th of September 2021.

DAILY PRIZE - Randomly selected winner from cyclists that log mileage on that day (minimum distance not required)

BIKE PRIZE - Entrants that register before the 1st of September 2022, will be entered into the Draw for this prize
